Another week has passed by quickly and the weekend is here already –though looking at the forecast I’m not sure how good it’s going to be weather-wise.
In English next week, we will be completing our unit on Varjak Paw, focussing on comprehension strategies as well as redrafting and editing our writing.
In maths we will be looking at equivalent fractions, so make sure you practise your times tables if you are not secure as this will be a huge help.
In science, you will be looking at the findings from your experiment about microorganisms and mould.
In history, we will move onto looking at crime and punishment in the early modern period.
In art, we will begin to use digital cameras for self-portrait photography.
Homework this week is a maths activity and is found on pages 8 and 9 of the CGP Arithmetic book which you should have taken home today. As I mentioned, if any of you find that it is not challenging enough, then I would like you to generate your own numbers (including decimals) to multiply and divide by 10, 100 or 1000.
I will end with my weekly reminder to you to continue to use Mathletics –I would love to be able to give out more certificates!
Have a good weekend!
