The children have had a fantastic week. In maths we were introduced to column addition (not going over 9) if the children could practice at home to build knowledge and confidence over the weekend this would be great.
Please ensure your child is reading and going on their mathletics/mathseeds programs (as well as practicing their spellings). A copy of their spellings is sent home with them on Monday and then I also put them on the blog on Friday.
I have started our extreme reading library display so thank you to those who have brought in or sent their pictures to me. This is an optional task but it would be a shame for children to miss out on creating a display. If you cannot print the image feel free to email it to me and I will print it when I can. Maths – We will be using written methods to solve addition.
English – We are starting our ‘take one book’ topic. We will be reading Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox and producing work around this book.
History – We aim to find out about the Neolithic period during the Stone Age.
RE- We will be looking at the 10 commandments what they mean to Christians.
Design and technology- The children are finishing their design for their product and are starting to make it.
Art – The children will be working with Mrs Burgess to create Stone Age art.
Have a great weekend!
