I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to Year 3 and I hope you all had a wonderful break over the summer.
The children and I have had a wonderful week getting to know each other and the routines of Year 3. This week has also been Waste Awareness Week at Little Heath and the children and I have explored literature on the issue of waste, recycling, and repurposing.
No spellings have been sent home this week. Spellings will be sent home next week and the test will take place the following week. The children will have the opportunity to practice these during morning work, however, if you could also support children with learning their spellings this will allow the children to really consolidate their learning.
I have told the children that they can bring in pictures of their pets to contribute to our pet display area. If the children do not have a pet, they could bring in a picture of their teddy, should they wish to. This is not compulsory, it is just if you/your child wishes to.
Monday PM (30 minutes – trainers only)
Thursday AM (1 hour – full kit)
Friday PM (1 hour – full kit)[Football. Separate kit to the previous day. This will get muddy – please send the children in warmer kits as the weather worsens].
